TERMS & CONDITIONS

The “Hirer” refers to the person hiring the items/equipment.

The “Items” means all the items/equipment supplied to the Hirer.

The “Hire Company” refers to Artisan Wedding & Event Co.

1. HIRE PERIOD

Hire period is based on how long you need the items/equipment.

In most cases we deliver the morning of the ceremony/event and pick up at the conclusion of the ceremony/event after you have finished taking photos.

Extended hire periods can be arranged in the original booking and will depend on the availability of items. The hire company will provide a quote for an extended hire period on the request of the Hirer.

The use of equipment for wedding receptions (after the ceremony) may be charged an additional fee, as it is considered an extended hire period. The hire company will determine this fee upon booking.

2. DEPOSIT, PAYMENTS AND OTHER FEES

Deposit

A $200.00 Security Bond is to be Paid via Direct Bank Transfer within 5 days of Booking Confirmation to ‘Secure your date’.

If the Hirer fails to finalise payment of their Security Bond within 5 days of receiving their Booking Confirmation, their chosen date will not be held and is available to other Hirers.

Your $200.00 Security Bond will be refunded to your chosen bank account in the following days after your event (IF ITEMS ARE RETURNED IN GOOD CONDITION)

Payments

Hire Costs are to be Paid via Direct Bank Transfer, you will find our Bank Details at the bottom of your invoice and are to be paid no less than 30 days prior to the date of your wedding or event.

If the Hirer fails to finalise payment 30 days prior to their event, the Hire Company will email you a reminder. The Hirer will then have 5 days to respond and finalise payment before their booking is cancelled.

Damage or Lost Items

Any damaged or loss of items charges will be taken from the Security Bond first. Any remaining charges will be invoiced for replacement or to repair the items/equipment and is to be paid within 7 days.

Delivery Fees

Delivery is FREE within 25km of our showroom (Postcode 4500).  A minimum spend of $350 is required to qualify for FREE 25km Delivery

A Delivery Fee applies if the wedding/event is outside our delivery zone OR spend is under $350, this fee will be determined upon booking.

(If you have not been advised of a delivery fee, you are inside the FREE delivery zone)

Any tolls, barge or ferry charges are an additional cost to the Hirer and are added on top of the total Hire Cost.

3. CONFIRMATION & CANCELLATIONS

Confirmation of Booking is required 14 days from delivery.

Cancellations made MORE than 14 days from delivery will receive a refund of the Security Bond and Hire Costs (minus 20% Admin fee)

Cancellations made LESS than 14 days from delivery will result in LOSS of Hire Costs as it is considered loss of opportunity to Hire Items for that date. Your Security Bond will be refunded in full.

No cancellations of items/equipment originally booked within 14 days of wedding/event will be accepted.

COVID RESTRICTION POLICY

For piece of mind, we have a full refund policy for any wedding or event that is cancelled due to COVID restrictions. 

4. LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

i. NOTE: All items are used and therefore reasonable signs of wear and tear will show as they are continual hire items.

ii. The Hirer assumes all responsibility for the items from the time of delivery until pick up and is liable for all items damaged or lost during this period. Insurance is not covered by the hire company once the items have left our storage location.

iii. Any items used outside are done so entirely at the risk of the Hirer. In no case should the items be used or left outside in the rain or overnight.

iv. In no case should any items such as rugs & aisle runner/s be used on wet or muddy ground. If upon set up The Hire Company determines that the ground is not suitable for the rugs/aisle runners to be used. A wet weather option will be supplied at the Hirers expense and will be deducted from your security bond. This may differ from what you originally booked.

v. All items must be stored with covers when not in use, and left in secure dry storage.

vi. Once all items are returned and checked that they are in the same condition as prior to delivery no charge will be made. The hire companies decision as to the condition of the items prior to delivery and on return shall be final.

vii. No persons shall swing off or lean on the arbours or any of the equipment at any time.

5. DELIVERY, SET-UP AND PICKUP

There must be a ‘Site Contact’ available at all times during the delivery and pick up times to assist with delivery and pick up.

The Hirer must provide the hire company with the name/s of this person/s and contact details. Delivery access must be arranged by the Hirer prior to driver arriving. Help may be required to lift items on arrival.

The Hirer is responsible for allowing sufficient time and access to the venue for set-up.

If your wedding location is further than 25 metres from the closest car park, vehicle access must be arranged by The Hirer. A carting fee may be applicable and taken from your Security Bond if we are not advised of this prior to your wedding/event date.

DISCLAIMER

The Hire Company shall in no way be held responsible or accountable for any injury, death or loss of income caused to the “Hirer”, any third parties or properties due to the hire of items/equipment or provided services by the hire company.
